I would think mya would want me to be happy, even if it meant getting another pug. it gives me something to be excited for, brightens my life just a tiny bit. at the moment I've lost alot of motivation to do the things I need/like to do sort of like mini depression, my mother agrees that it is a wonderful idea as does my fiancée

.Sure, why not. Don't we treasure our human family or friends' things after they die?. I think it pays homage to them in a small way. I am reminding of my old gal when my new boy plays with her toys.
Anything that will give you and or your doggie is fine, especially since your new baby doesn't know anything about it. She may smell the other dog but she will have no knowledge that she died.
BTW, I am sorry for your loss, we all lose them one day, I lost mine too soon also and it hurts but I let my boy use anything that belonged to her, there is nothing wrong you are not being disloyal if that is what you are worried about. Good luck in finding your new little lady.
