Our German Shepherd/Husky mix who I think has a Husky personality mostly, is a wonderful dog. He's so sweet but strong when I need him to be. Also, we had two cocker spaniels and I loved them: one we called the Antichrist and the Devil Dog because she was so mischevious but I miss her most of all our dogs who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. She had such personality!

I'd love to have another Alaskan Malamute - I had a beautiful one growing up. I also like Australian Shepherds and German Shepherds.
Until I got into Pugs, I wasn't ever really too interested in small breeds.
I love bully breeds, too: Frenchies, English bulldogs, American bulldogs, Amstaffs, Bull mastiffs, BTs and especially pit bulls.
That's why I hate, hate, hate this commercial:
YouTube - Beautiful on the Inside!
He is so beautiful on the outside, too!
But I also love little Schipperkes; I think they are just adorable.

I think that people are understandably afraid of them, especially when it comes to their dogs. There have been horror storries printed about pits, and I believe there is a media bias (in other words, "If it bleeds, it leads" as far as headlines are concerned). They are very strong dogs and can cause a lot of damage if raised by someone who doesn't understand them.
I have organized (with the the shelter that I work at) two annual "Pittie Parties" in a local park. Over 50 dogs--all pits-- and maybe 150 people. And not a peep, not a growl, not a bite.
Anyway, I don't mean to be off-topic!

the commerical for beautiful on the inside..
is felt the same by the board members as you
beautiful on the outside too
the girl that owns the bully is part of the message board..
she was not that worried about it........he is georgous though and a shown champion. beautiful bulldog...
I had a Chow and she was a great dog. Wouldn't get another due to the grooming necessary. She was black and georgous!
I have had both the Bullmastiff and currently have an English Mastiff. Love both breeds. My Bull was definately more edgy that my English. Odin is just big, dopey and loveable. My DH wanted a Neopolitan Mastiff, but wasn't comfortable getting one while I am fostering for pug rescue. Although they can be wonderful and sweet, they do have a tendency to be more on the agressive side.
I also love English Bulldogs and Frenchies. I think that if I get another dog again and I have decided that I will likely not have another giant breed, I will get either a Frenchie or an English Bulldog.

We have a doxie named Scooter John who is GREAT and a chihuahua named Chichi who is scared of everything but is also a nice little girl. Our pug Ming LI who is 10 weeks old is Hell on wheels but her little personalty is soooooo very cute. The house training is not going so well. She did fine in the beginning and has now regressed. I have a BIG house and have gated off alot of it but its still hard to watch her. She is also VERY sneaky....LOL
