we were beat out last year by a pug dressed as a flying monkey, with other family members dressed as other wizard of oz characters.

I found a costume for someone of a pug as a baked potato....standing on the oven door!!! haha

But really of your options I like the catepillar or ipug!

Hmmm, are you buying the costume pictured or making it? I love the lobster because of the goggly eyes.

I wonder if he was a caterpillar, could you dress as a butterfly? I think theme stuff is tough to resist. Of course for the sake of a theme, the shark idea is also cute.

I like quite a few of them but the iPod seems fun. You could dress all in black like the iPod ads.

They all have good counterparts for you:
Lobster > chef or mermaid
Caterpillar > butterfly or pet control
Hippo > Explorer
Shark > Roy Scheider? (You'd have to work in the line "I think we're going to need a bigger boat" in there somewhere)
