We have volunteers in both the pug and boxer rescues that I work with that have EB's....they are just sweet mush-faces!! Thanks so much for helping this guy....he'll be beautiful! (My favorite is a white one named "Chunk".......talking about trying to get him OUT of the tub made me think of him!)

Well today I left Winston at the vet for surgery tomorrow.

They feel the cause of his bleeding is a prolapsed and ulcerated urethra. They will remove the end of his penis (and send it out for pathology), then using microsurgery techniques, will repair what is left so that he can still urinate normally. he will also have his severe cherry eyes and his neuter done. This one will cost $1,700 out of pocket. Ouch...

His bloodwork came back good but his Xrays are awful. He has hip dysplasia and his patellas are on the outside of his legs instead of the front. Stage 4 lateral luxation. She feels he needs to have a double FHO and knee repair...way more than I can afford. Anyone know of alternate therapies? I hear UC Davis does some types of sugeries at discounted rates? Anyone have experience with this?

    Take care,
    Lisa

My vet said the two biggest money pits she knows of are boats and English Bulldogs....
