This was posted on 2nd Chance Dachshund Rescue on Facebook a really great bunch of people. I thought it was really neat so I brought it here
Dog Rescuer- " I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter and the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal. And I was angry. "God", I said, "this is terrible". "Why don't u do something?" God was silent for a moment and then he spoke softly..."I have done something, he replied, "I created you". Jim Willis

If You Can't Say Anything Nice,
Just Don't Say Anything.
God needs to step up the pace 'cause there aren't near enough rescuers to go around for all the dogs needing it.
It hurts my heart everyday to see all the dogs I can't help. To walk by all those rows of kennels....passing by so many wonderful, deserving dogs...
Take care,
Lisa
In a gentle way, you can shake the world.

I learned years ago that my prayer was "Please God, don't let me know about any pug that I can't help."
While there are often times that I can't do anything from afar, it has given me the courage and strength to keep on keeping on many a time.

Rescuer's have a special place the world!!! You do sooo much good!!!
What a beautiful saying my heart breaks for all the doggies in shelters they have so much love to give and all they ask is for love back
I don't wanna even think about a world without Rescuers - they make this world such a better place...such big, amazing, caring hearts - they are truly selfless and everyday heroes in my book! I pray everyday for all of those involved in rescues, shelters, and those who help protect and save all creatures big and small!
I love my D'Arcy and Morgan!

I tell my husband, on the days that he feels overwhelmed, this simple thought.
You cannot change the world and stay comfortable.
I never imagined that PugHearts would have 109 pugs in our foster program. We started 3 1/2 years ago, thinking we would get 5-6 pugs per month. We now take a new pug into rescue almost daily.
Hang in there. Together, we all CAN make a difference.

Kudos to all of you who spend the time driving from shelter to shelter to help pugs in need.
The little bit of text on Music City Pug Rescue really drives the point of what all you generous people do.
"Saving just one pug will not change the world, but surely the world will change for that one pug."
I still like the story of the rescuer at the RainBow Bridge. Wendy, you might share the story with all the new people on the forum.
