Look at the available pugs on our website....it's so sad to see the page 90% seniors.
Available Pugs
That's not all of them either, there are at least six more which have recently come in which are not up on the site yet. All 7+ years old, including my Cleo and Sammy.
Take care,
Lisa

We have seniors too!!!
So very very sad!! At a time that they should be cherished...and thanked for all the joy they have given...they are dumped!! I cannot imagine it!
I am honestly disgusted that so many people literally dump these precious Pugs after they get old and need their humans the most! To me that is the equivelant of dumping a baby after they have outgrown the "cute stage"! If I could afford it I would open my home to as many senior's as I could handle...

There are some seriously cute pugs there, including our boy Ziggy:) I just can't believe there are so many senior there, very sad. I truly hope they get adopted.
Christa, Mom to Bella & Toby
and missing Riley and Roxy, who are at the bridge.
Brings tears to my eyes, thinking of those wise souls being thrown away like garbage.
Heather, Mommy to Sir Wally of Pugzu and Duke Leto Prancypants the Fragrant.
Also Mom to Just Dakota the Canadian X gelding; pudgy budgies Kiwi, Fidget and Bree plus rescue budgies Spud, Minty, and Wendy. Stepmom to Monty Python.
Main squeeze of high school sweetie Scot.
I can't believe how people can toss away the seniors. I love the puppies but the seniors....they warm my heart when they look at you with their loving eyes after they come to live with you. I find the seniors are quirky, funny and so set in their ways that your rules/way of living changes for them. I love the seniors!
Sally...Mom to Huron, Badger, Raven, Willow, Mr. Boots, Angel, Bugsy, Erie and Nana to Gauge the Pug in Beagle fur.
They are all just wonderful looking but I fell in love with Pooh Bear. Wish I lived closer and worked from home I would snatch him up in an instant. Couldn't you just see him and Zoey snuggling on the couch together. Thats it I am moving tomorrow.

We have more middle age than seniors, but we do have them at central florida pug rescue. Our seniors have mostly come from owners that have passed before the pug and the family couldnt/wouldnt take them in. See, I especially don't get it. Middle/ senior pugs have the most love to give. That gentle demeanor...the unconditional love, and already housebroken! (mostly. we have some that have accidents due to bladder issues)
Sidenote: Afu is gorgeous! I can't believe someone hasn't scooped him up!
