wow.....looking at this poor little girl is heartbreaking...

probably...when I volunteered at the animal shelter in my town I had that happen...except with a litter of pits. We found them in clusters throughout the town in three days time. They were covered in fleas and ticks, and completely emiciated. Two of them are still up for adoption as I saw the male and female on petfinder this morning...of course our shelter is saying they are "hound" mix since nobody (except dog ring fighters) want to adopt pits.

I can understand that your shelter wants to protect these dogs from falling into the wrong hands,but what if someone that goes to adopt one of the pups is not well versed in the pit-bull breed? This is not fair to the potential owner nor is it fair to the dog. This is also what gives shelters and rescues a bad name by not being up front about the animal.
