A Hurricane Lands in California
Bet you didn't know we get hurricanes here. Yes we do. I know because I lived through it. Hurricane Charlie, a category 2, blew through the house.
It arrived yesterday afternoon. Bringing with it a crate, blankets, a stuffed frog, some bowls and a leash and collar. An 8 month old fawn storm of chaos.
Have you ever tried to photograph a storm in action? At the height of the storm it was impossible....blurs and images of everything but the subject because the subject moved much faster than the cell phone camera...

Nothing was safe from it's devastation. Ms. Peaches barked herself hoarse. Slippers were stolen, pants cuffs used as tug o' war toys, pugtonas were dashed all around the house. not only that, but Hurricane Charlie was a noisy storm....alternating between shrill screeches and melodious hound warbles. Evidentially a storm should not be contained in a crate for any period of time....if you want to keep your hearing.
This little guy also can stand straight up on his hind legs like prairie dog, then he can walk in any direction, even sideways.
The older dogs were all disgusted....even Bailey vainly tried to chase him down and give him a nip....Marty was thrilled.
But this morning the storm passed. Hurricane Charlie blew itself down South to San Diego. During a lull I did manage to get a few good pictures of it.

I love puppies. Other people's puppies!
Take care,
Lisa
