Harley & Mary Lee have both been adopted. Rosalie I am waiting for a call back on. Just so everyone knows, when the Humane Societys or Shelters have "Adoptable" Pugs they won't call for help from the local rescues. We are only called upon when the Pug has a medical/health issue, then they will contact us for help.
Thank you, Carol. I just adopted Erie (Benjamin) from the Rochester Hills MHS about a month and a half ago. I live about a block or two from there. I would have loved to get Rosalie but Willow is so alpha I cannot take another female in. I have heard so many different stories...and this may really sound dumb....but does the MHS put the animals down after a certain amount of time?
I was under the impression that MHS called rescues for purebreds....I'm glad you clairified this....I was under the wrong impression!!!

Your very welcome! In answer to your question, yes they will put the dog down. There are three specific Pug rescues here in Michigan. Several of the all breed rescues will pull Pugs as well. I have two coming in tommorrow from a shelter in St. Clair both have horrible teeth & are overweight. I have one coming in Saturday from Harbor Humane cute as a button not neutered.
If the Pugs are "Adoptable" the Humane Societys and or shelters will keep them and try to adopt them out. We are called when a Pug comes in that needs $$$ put in them.
Teeth, Growths, Eyes, etc...
We've tryed to make sure every shelter or humane society has our card so that when a Pugs comes in they have our information. We will always squeeze in a "Senior" coming from a shelter.
