Well, we did it. We went and rescued this little guy from the Shelter. He is so cute. I believe that he was a stray because he escaped his last home. He is a little fearful of men. It took us a while for him to go near Terry, my husband. Quick movements do startle him so I think that he may have been beaten. Good for him for escaping I say. He is otherwise in very good shape. He does have very stinky farts due to the cheap food that he has been eating, I think they were feeding him Ceasar dog food. Nothing but good things for him from now on. He will be going to the groomers for a nail cutting next week, they are very long and curling. Zoey seems to like him except when he trys to mount her. They have done the pug chase around the coffee table a couple of times, so thats a good sign. I also noticed that when I fed him he seemed very scared, he would grab some food quickly and step away, then quickly grab some more. His tail was between his legs and ears were back. I got down on the floor to see if he would let me put my hand in the bowl and he did. So I fed him by hand. Not sure if that was the right thing to do. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would gladly hear them. And will keep you all posted on his progress.
Hear are a few pictures of him so far in his new home.

Congrats on your new addition!!!! He's a cutie!
If he was a stray...he might have been eating off the street......
Your dish might be different than he's used to eating out of. I'd give him time!!!!! It's a lot to get used to!

I love Eddie - he looks like such a happy Puggie boy. Congrats all around - i'm sure he'll settle into his forever home very soon.
We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.
Congrats on your new boy!
I see he has some dark pigment over his corneas I would get that checked by a opthamologist specialist so it doesn't progress and loses even more of his vision.
He looks very happy :D
If you are not doing so already you might try initially feeding him in a separate room so he is not scared by Zoey's presence. If he has a few days to get used to the dish and so on then you can try feeding together if that's what you want to do long term.
