LATEST INFO IS THAT HE WILL BE EUTHED TONIGHT IF NOONE SAVES HIM

There is a senior boy in Brooklyn ACC shleter 10 years, spinal problem causing incontinence?
Sunoko A889649 – 10 yr. male Pug. Stray 17 pounds
QAR. No change in condition from previously described. Bladder expressed. Will need further work-up at private clinic and possibly wheels on hind
QARH - no change in condition

- minimal ability to walk on rear legs - unable to urinate on own

- bladder easily expressed

- r/o spinal injury - disk dz, infect/inflamm. vs other

- rads taken but poor quality due to movement -- no obvious trauma -- rec' sedate and retake

Q-BAR H pink

EENT - NSOU, clear AU, severe dental disease

H/L - NM, HR 100R, RUAS, eupneic

Abd - SNP, large bladder easily expressed on gentle palpation

(dog reportedly came in wearing a diaper)

UG - MI

MSI - ambu but very weak and ataxic in hindlimbs, severe muscle atrophy dorsally and hind limbs, CP deficits RH>LH, no obvious back/neck pain

A: Geritric

presumptive spinal disorder with neurologic impairment, urine retention

P:

keep well padded

express bladder BID

surgery waiver

Lena, if you have any contacts with pug rescues in the Brooklyn area, can you network? If you check the main facebook thread Urgent PART 2's Photos - SUPER URGENTS THAT NEED OUT NOW!!! | Facebook you will see that there are at least two out-of-town rescues that will take him, but they need someone local to get him out of there, also money is pledged.
If anyone else can assist, please act now, time is really of the essence.

Affraid Im new to pugs, don't know anything about the rescues that might be in that area. I have seen a lot of ppl post about animals about to be euthanized on Craigslist.com, seems to be a really good way to find homes for them quick. Maybe you could try that?

Poor old man is like my sweet Dickson, back problems, incontinent. No one wanted Dickson....so i kept him. He is my sunshine now, the crippled dog that LOVES to play fetch.

PLEASE, anyone near Brooklyn, get him out of there!

Thanks Lisa, know how to use this site! Can't get over someone dumping their faithful puggy friend when they have health issues after 10 years. And it would seem that they are issues that love and commitment can cope with.

Anyone who can assist in saving this boy, please don't hesitate, and don't wait for someone else to do so!

They made arrangements for a rescue in NYC to pull him today.....and they are picking him up tomorrow :)
