Another Throw Away Senior

This sweet little man had been at the Riverside, CA shelter since 8/19. Found "stray". Estimated to be 12 years old, neutered male, extremely obese, neurological problems that cause him to be unable to walk on the rear. He can stand on his own. Seems deaf or at least very hard of hearing and looks like he may have an eye ulcer or scarring. Has a tough time breathing, not helped at all by the weight, and disconcertingly pale gums. Of course he has the rotten teeth too. I pulled him today and transported him to his foster who is experienced with neuro issues and he will go to the vet in the morning.

Send him your best wishes that he is able to live a comfortable old age.

It never ceases to amaze me how somebody could look at that face and abandon him. People suck! Thank you, Lisa for all that you do.

Certainly his discomfort ought to be lessened even if only for a short while.

I just couldn't imagine abandoning my long time friend and faithful companion. He has been there for you when no one else was and this is how you return the favor?! Dispicable! I hope he finds the warmth, comfort and love that he deserves. Good luck little man!

He looks like a sweet old man. With a little care and medical attention I think he may have a few more years left in him to live a happier life than he has.

I thought so too. If I had been the one bringing him to the vet I'd have named him Solo.
