My BT, Delta is from a Puppy Mill, please understand I didn't know anything about puppymills then, but boy have I learned a lot. I would NEVER take her back or ask for another pup . She developed cherry eye the day after I got her.(she was 5 weeks old) Just about two months ago I had to take her to my vet because she was hopping on one back leg or the other. You guessed it she has luxating petella in both knees! I will take care of her, no matter how much it costs. I love her dearly, and its not her fault she has these problems.I have been working with many organizations here to shut this woman down. BTRNM bought four of her throw away female bostons including Delts's mother. they ALL have new forever homes now. This woman has two pug females up for sale that she is throwing away(selling). She has, and this breaks my heart, a golden lab, that is 9 years old, she is getting rid of. Two jack russels. Also she is selling two pregnant BTs for more than Boston Terrier Rescue here can pay I feel like I've done every thing I can except bring them home and keep them and love them.
By getting the word out, you have done all you can do. Best of luck with your little BT, they are such charming penguins in fur suits. My son had two, when he accepted a BT from the BT delivery service----poor little Bunny had no teeth and was living with a family who bred pits. Guess what Bunny's job was.
I'm a true BT lover at heart...waited for one for years (not regretting taking my Franklin in), but I love bostons so incredibly mucho grande!!!!!
It's so sad and depressing what people do to their poor dogs these days....but yes, getting the word out is the way to go. There are a few national BT rescues that might be able to work with the NM rescue to get those pregnant BTs
