I really wish the laws were huge on things like that. If you do something wrong to an animal, that person needs severe punishment. :( I hope no one dumped them, but it is def believable with the way things are now in days. :( So sad.

I agree Brittany. Turns out, people who live near the dump actually witnessed puppies being dumped. Larry has named the girl Una, and both puppies were fixed yesterday. Seems young to me, but apparently it is the new trend. Poor Moose also had an abcess in his armpit that was drained. They figure he got bitten when the puppies tussled.

Thanks Barb. But I fear her heart is a bit TOO big...I am not sure she is going to be able to give Moose (the boy puppy) to anyone else. She is very attached. Which would be fine if she did not already have three big dogs, and if she did not on occasion need to go to the "Bank of Mom" in order to keep everyone in kibble.

Think this through. Let her keep the puppy, and combine delivering kibble to her house with a discreet moment playing with your new grandchild. One excuse is as good as another.

Well, there is no "letting" her keep the puppy, since she is 24. I did tell her I did not think it was a responsible thing to do since she could not afford the dogs she has. But of course she knows I won't let dogs go hungry. And he is a particularly endearing little tyke, I must admit. She had to call me from the vet in order to pay for the $16 worth of antibiotics he needed (abcess from the shots), oh, and I gave her $20 so that she had enough gas to get to the vet in the first place.

I think she is getting a ton of hay for Christmas. Can't let my grandhorses go hungry either.
