I thought this thread would be about something much different since "trolling" is actually a term used to describe someone who purposely says outrageous things on a message board to intentionally cause an argument. :/

Trolling is a term that has been used for many many years before the Internet came to be. Netspeak borrowed the term to mean what you say, rather than the other way around.

Um, I'm not sure why you posted the dictionary definition as though I didn't know the word existed before the internet. I was just saying that when I saw the title of the thread I expected it to be something else. I guess my mistake was putting the word "actually" in the post.
