I have to go back sometime and post pics of all the transports. This was yesterday's rescue.... an owner surrender because she couldn't afford the medications and food this little darling needs for her allergies. I didn't go for the pickup, just for the drop off; Scot said it was a good thing I wasn't there because the whole family took turns crying about having to give Peanut up. I would have lost it entirely.
Kudos to the owner for doing right by her charge.
Peanut is 6 years old, her coat was coarse and broken, obviously growing back in from recent near-baldness. She smelled yeasty and was a bit itchy, but came with her cortisone and hypoallergenic food so the owner had obviously done the best she could afford. Also a collection of clothes, presumably because of her recent baldness. She sat on my lap for the trip, she seemed confused at her new human guardians, but curious about where she was going.
She was is a cutie pie! She will be a lovely addition to a family.

How sad it would be to have to rehome your baby. I would be in tears too, good thing you didn't go in.Peanut is cute, hope she finds a new family quickly.

She looks so sweet, & she reminds me of how my Rugby girl looked a few years ago....I'm sorry that family had to give her up! It's too bad they couldn't have gotten some kind of temporary help so they could keep her til things got better for them. It was very selfless of them to give her up, but sad....

Tears are flowing for me, been in that positiion (different circumstances), just breaks my heart. They obviously loved their baby very much and are doing what is right for her. She is beautiful. Best of luck on your new home and your new life Peanut.
