So we were finally able to meet up with a foster family who had a pug we were interested in. We met in a neutral area - the beach. We had our Boston penny, and they brought the foster, Pauly, and three other pugs/puggle. Pauly is not neutered yet, he is cuddly, loves to be petted, and follows the other dogs around but tends to hang back more. There was a black pug female that is not neutered, a male pug (neutered), and male puggle (neutered). They all played really well together. Penny would chase the female named diva around the most, and seemed to almost completely ignore Pauly. Penny also would try and hump all the dogs except Pauly. We had just Pauly and penny on one side of the beach and the other pugs were away, and she still only sniffed him no hump or play (which is fine it's not like I love it when my dog humps everyone in sight...). I had Pauly on my lap getting butt scrachies and penny didn't act jealous.
So I'm wondering if that's normal? Penny is neutered (spayed I guess) and Pauly has skin problems. His butt hair was falling out because of fleas :( maybe she doesn't want to get skin disease? (that seems silly :p) he is a really good dog though. I love that he's quiet and likes to be close.
Anyway I would post pics from today but I'm posting from my phone I will try to post later tonight :)

Great pictures, looks like everyone was having fun. Is that Pauly in the blue harness sitting up on a rock in one of the pictures. If it is, he sure is a looker, and yes he looks very calm.

I'm so jealous you were at the beach! Looks like a great time was had by all. Our first foster pug we went to look at didn't work out. We drove 4 hours to meet her and all she did was growl at my 2. The next pug we saw came in with a large group into the pug rescue, she was a puppy, so it worked out. Good luck!
Always a sucker for Boston pics----the best American invention after Key Lime pie. I am a little surprised that the rescue hasn't neutered him, but he looks like a nice guy both sensible and calm.
cute as a button Pauly
good luck he looks very calm in the pic and regal too
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
He's quite a handsome guy, congrats!

Thanks all! Yes he is the pug in the blue harness :) he is getting neutered soon. I think because the foster parents live so far they haven't had a chance to get him neutered here at the vet.
I guess the vet said he is 2-3 but he has a lot of gray hair on his face. He also has flea dermatitis on his back near the tail - does this last a long time?
