Well, he is not too happy with me right now. But hopefully he will get over it. I think, aside from the expense, what bothers him the most is our lack of freedom to travel, even just for a day, because of all the special needs dogs. He would so love to take a weekend and go somewhere.

Lisa, any chance one of your foster parents could come stay a weekend so you and your husband could get away? This is pretty much why Angel comes here, her ma's mom is sick and they need to go visit fairly frequently. You do such great work with them you should get away for a few days.

Her rear legs sound like what my sis' pug was developing. We tried surgery and she was recovering but had a fatal setback, never determined exactly why. I don't remember the name but it was like a cyst on her spine, the spinal fluid was then pressing against her spinal cord causing weakness in her back legs. It was heartbreaking that she did not make it after going through the surgery. She was fine one minute and was gone the next.
