I'm not sure. What was odd is that all of the dogs I saw were in beautiful condition, clean, good weight, well-groomed, etc. I think they may have lived in a remote area where people didn't complain, were taking good care of the dogs, but when Sarcoptic came in, they were overwhelmed by it. It is highly contagious and can often come in on coyotes or foxes.
Take care,
Lisa

I read that Sarcoptic mange is mites, but didn't quite understand demonic mange?
I couldn't even imagine all those poot dogs. So sad.

Sounds kind of like the Paws-R-Us debacle here this summer. I hope they prosecute.

I wish my BIL had not erased my desk top I had a wonderful recipe to boost their immune system to combat the mange. I know it came from a breeder in Texas Cowboy Pugs but I have not found a link to them recently since it was 2004 they may no longer breed. It was really for Demodex but would still be good for the rescues since they need some get up and go. That little guy is to cute I hope he finds a wonderful home! Thanks for all you do.
