Horrible, horrible people that did this. So easily avoided, that is the most frustrating thing about it. Poor little baby.

My sweet old man Curly, at the rainbow bridge. We miss that boy!
That gave me chills. I hate reading about stuff like that. Those previous owners should be shot!

I just thought I would share an email that was sent out by Tina of Pugs 'N Pals with an update on Kingsley.![]()
Hi everyone!
Firstly, I would like to thank all of you that donated or pledge money towards Kingsley care. We so appreciate your generosity. We still have not receive some of the pledges, but even with them we still have a long ways to go towards getting the needed money to continue caring for him. His care is expected to cost around $6,000, which is not including any set backs he may have.
As of today, Kingsley is doing much better. He is now eating on his own, which allows us to give him the oral medication that will continue to improve his condition. He has had 4 minor surgeries to remove some of the dead skin around his neck, as well as placing drainage tubes around his ears and abscesses. He is an amazing little guy that continues to amaze all of us as well as the Vets. He continues to fight and we will continue to fight right along with him. He will be going to the specialist on Tuesday to be checked and see if his condition improved enough to start with the ear canal surgeries. These surgeries will be done one ear at a time and only when the infection is under control, otherwise he will not survive the surgery. He is very skinny as we think he has not been able to eat for a long time. He is now eating well, and continues to gain strength daily.
He is now in my care at home, as he needs around the clock care and the Vets feel he would do much better in a home environment, as well at the care being very expensive at the Vets, we are trying to save as much money as we can. I am in charge of all the critical medical cases that come into Pugs ‘N Pals. His care is not easy, nor does he make it easy on me! J However, I will do everything humanly possible to improve his condition.
We have to remove the dead skin from his neck every two hours, as it can not scab over or the gangrene will continue to spread. Also his ears and drainage tubes to be cleaned and care for many times a day. Though this is painful to him (and me!) it is imperative that it gets done to be able to get him to a place where we can get rid of his infection and get him healthier.
His spirits are up and he is no longer in a deep depression. He loves to give kisses and his swelling around his face has gone down drastically. However, he is not out of the woods and has a very long recovery. Hopefully if things continue to improve and he continues to get stronger, he will be able to do well with his upcoming surgeries. He had a set back last week where he developed another abbess by the side of his face. We put in another drainage tube there and now he is feeling better. Hopefully he is strong enough to handle what is coming up and if so, will make a recovery.
Please continue to pass on the word about Kingsley as we need more money to continue caring for his long recuperation.
Due to his care, which takes a lot of time, I will not be able to send you updates on him. However, I will put weekly updates on his condition on our WEB site. So please check our WEB site www.pugdogrescue.com for his progress.
Thank you all so very much for helping us help Kingsley
