I will being making the trip to Detroit next Thursday morning to meet Quincy and hopefully bring him home. I am getting so excited and anxious, I had better watch my speed driving down. I have his pciture at work, and on my fridge at home. I went shopping last night, bought him a new collar & leash, it is black with aqua blue & purple pattern. Would look great on a black male. I got him a sweater, some toys, seat belt and a new bed that is big enought for Mavis & him to share (hopefully). All the presents are put away right now. I think I ahve everything covered. I have made an appointment at my Vet for Friday morning for an exam and introductions, and I have taken a couple of days off work to spend time with him and Mavis. This is a new child for me. I have never had any interest in having children and this is such and exciting time in my life, I had to share it.

How exciting. Congratulations on your soon-to-be new arrival! I am the same way about kids. I like them but not thrilled about having any of my own. My puppies are my babies. I can't wait to see pictures of Quincy. Do be safe driving and try not to speed.

I remember what the few days were like before we could go pick up Millie. Very exciting, indeed. I know you'll have a great trip.

Thanks,
I know that this is going to be along wait now, but I have been in contact with Foster Mom for updates and to see how he is doing, I will probably giver her a call tonight for a chat.
Of course Mavis will be coming for the trip, it will be a Puggy Road Trip and my friend Steve. Mavis is very vocal in the car, I wonder if Quincy is as well.
Oh and I am thinking of changing his name.
Wow, that's exciting news. Keep us posted. And we want pictures too..
Where did Qunicy come from? How old is he? Is he black? I may have missed a previous post, so forgive me if I am asking questions you have already answered.
It is so exciting to get a new little one. You just watch them all the time to see how they act and its like "oh, they like carrots" "oh, they sleep with one paw under their chin".![]()
This is why its a good thing to have PV, where other people actually understand and care about such things, because other people don't know what they are missing and sometimes look at you like you are crazy when you share such things. Of course, these are the people who will give you a twenty minute play by play on Junior's "boom-boom in the potty" last night!
I am with you on the humankids, I like furkids just fine!

That isi funny, 20 min update on the boom-boom.
Quincy si from the Mid Michigan Pug Rescue. He is about 2 yrs old, black, much smaller than Mavis, I am pretty sure he weighs in at about 20 lbs and Mavis is 33 ( she is larged framed but should be 26, and she has lost 2.5 in a month and is now losing study weight-diet change-I cook for her now-IBD-has to have Venison & Rice, I had to throw that in just incase I may have a couple gasps over her weight)
Apparently he is very lovable, good boy, listens well, walks very well on leash. Good around other dogs & cats. I am so happy, but will be beaming I actually get him.
