Smile We may have a new addition!!

I was reading through the Petfinder Classifieds the other day and found a one year old male pug in NJ! His name is Mugsy. I just spoke to his owner and we're going to meet him on Saturday! I asked a bunch of questions, but I just want to make sure I find out as much as I can before I get too excited and attached. Any suggesstions??

I do know that he had an allergic reaction to his lepto shot and he hasn't been neutered yet. He's crate trained. She has his shot records/vet records.

What else should I try to find out??

You might want to ask if he's socialized around other dogs or if he's ever shown any signs of aggression and if he likes other dogs, if he is ok around childern, is he potty trained to go outside or on puppy pads, is he leash trained, why are they giving him away, has he ever bitten a person or another dog, does he sleep in the crate at night or in the bed, what kind of food does he eat...

Sorry, after Leslie's rescue trauma, you can't be too careful. I know those sound like negitive questions but you want to be really sure! Good luck and let us know what they say.

These are all great questions, thanks! She did say he was crate trained. She's giving away because he was a gift from an EX boyfriend and now he's moved out & she can't take care of Mugsy all by herself ... and she's also in grad school, so she doesn't have any time for him anymore.
