We are moving to Hilton Head Island, SC in the next few months. DH leaves this coming weekend to start his new job. I will be making the move as soon as our home is sold and I finish Pet Grooming School. I have been involved with NIPRA for a couple of years now and since we are moving I would like to continue to be active in a local pug rescue. Is there a pug rescue located in or working in the area of HHI, SC that could use someone with experience as a foster home or in some other way? I just cannot imagine not being involved with pug rescue in the future. If you need references you can PM me. I'll be happy to give you any information you would like.
To the rest of the board it has been a very very difficult decision for us. However, we are convinced we are making the right one by leaving Illinois and making this move, but I am going to miss all our friends at NIPRA.

MidAtlantic Pug Rescue serves SC, but I'm not sure if they go quite as far south as Hilton Head. Great group of folks! If MAPR isn't there, maybe SEPRA is?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We would LOVE to have you as a foster home in SC!!!
We have a few foster homes in the Charleston area and scattered around in SC (as well as GA, FL, TN, MO and even AL).
We'd just have to work out a vet that would be rescue friendly in that area.
Hilton Head is beautiful!

Of course we'll all vouch for her if SEPRA Brenda wants references and details. We've been lucky to have a great foster home and volunteer and we'll miss you Deb. But I'm happy that you have such a wonderful opportunity.

Everyone at NIPRA has been absolutely fantastic to work with. I have enjoyed all the fosters we have had in our home and have been very gratified to see them go on to furever homes. It has been just wonderful. Brenda, Leslye, Susan, Julie, Kathy and everybody else has been wonderful to work with. Thank you one and all!!
SEPRA...I'll contact you when I get to the island. I'm thinking it will be in the next 3 to 6 months before I can tie up all our loose ends and get down there.
In the meantime, if I can shuttle another little girl or boy off to another foster home or be helpful in any way for NIPRA, you guys know to just call!
