This is so exciting! Wendi (chichamommy) posted a link for CFPR being on the local news a day or so ago.
Well, CFPR just got word that the story is going to be a part of CBS Morning News TOMORROW!!!
I'm not sure how much they are going to show or talk about, maybe a blip but what the heck, we'll take any recognition we can get for rescue. How freakin' cool is that?!?!?!?!![]()
What was the reason for the news coverage?

Our local newsperson, Mike Holfeld, did a story covering the recession and pets. Explaining why so many pets are becoming homeless or going to shelters and rescues because of loss of jobs, cant afford care, etc. He taped CFPR and also another rescue, Pet Rescue by Judy, at Petco back in late June. The story aired this past Monday locally and the CBS network caught wind and will be using some of the story.
Since the airing, we've gotten numerous applications on foster homes and some doantions too. One charity sent us a check for $250. Every penny counts!
WOW! That's great! I'll have the TV on by daybreak.![]()
Everyone may already know this but you can find video repeats of many, many programs on the major networks' websites after the show is seen across the country. Right now I enjoy watching the online videos more than the programs in some cases - the pictures seem clearer to me.

Wow! This might be great for all the pug rescues! At least people will know - I dont know how many times I have heard people say "pugs need rescuing?"

Well, they decided to cut an interview with one of our board members BUT we did get a small plug in the end showing our pugs. Pugslee with the long tongue and Bubbles to his left. I am glad they did a part on their show regarding the influx of animals coming in due to the economy. Any plug in for rescues in general is a good thing.
