Sam is now almost 12 weeks old and i must say that if you want a puppy that is housetrained and tells you when they need to go follow the guide above. I have some variations but for the most part the biggest help was this one...
if you think he might need to go, take him out!
We took him out after playing, waking up, before eatting, anytime we noticed the pooch! (you know what i'm talking about!) or if he started spastic sniffing! it works people just watch your pug!
If i could give a piece of advice its this, take your pug everywhere with you if you can. Crate train as this makes house training easy, you dont have to keep your pug in the crate after he's housetrained but god it makes the training process easier!
Dont get frustrated! it seems like when you do you take 3 steps back! just remember its going to happen and remember likely when your puppy has an accident its your fault, you werent watching or following the guides. It helped me relaxe and in turn it helped Sam to have a great potty training experience. At 10 weeks he was almost 100% and now at 11 and 1/4 HE doesnt have accidents. He wines when he needs to go out and when we take him out and say Go potty Sam Go potty. he goes right then. Usually pee first then we walk a bit and i say Sam, go Poop. Go potty sam and bam we have!!! let me know if you need any advice if i can help i will but i will be able to try it a second time when we get our next puppy!

call me crazy, but I don't see a housetraining guide stickied... just the crate training one. am I missing something or has it been unstickied?
Hmmm, that's odd... I'm sure I've seen a sticky on this topic many times before. Try this thread for the same general information: http://pugvillage.com/forum/pug-trai...etraining.html
