Well, me and my fiancée are training our new puggly Toby and I was just looking for more advice on certain experiences we're having in order to get the best way to train.
Experience number 1: Toby at night won't stay in his bed, as soon as he realises we've left to go upstairs he will go to the bottom of the stair gate crying and continue to try and jump it until he hurts himself.
Experience number 2: When we take him in the back garden in order to make him go wee wee he constantly tries to eat grass, flowers etc and it's getting harder and harder to make him stop.
Experience number 3: Sometimes when we take Toby out and he's in a really mischievous mood he'll spin around with the lead on none stop and continue to try and run away
And finally does anyone have any useful tips for walking the pug correctly, not that we have problems walking him it's just he constantly pulls ahead.
A lot...I knowbut I'd rather ask about everything so we can get the best approach to sort them out, thanks a lot for any help that's given

Anybody? =P
Whoops, Im sorry, only saw this now !!
Im not sure how much I can help, but I know one thing and thats you just need to be patient and be consistent with routines and rules with your puglet ! Makes the world of difference!!
1.) Is there no way you can try and crate train him instead. Or buy an x-pen/gates to keep him gated in another room or even in your room. Being downstairs on his own can be dangerous for him, as he's so young and can get up to some serious mischief.
2.) My Yoda is 10 months and he still does this. Try keeping him on his leash when you take him into the yard to go potty. And also use s stern NO. Yoda feels so guilty and gives me the guilty face when I say a loud NO Yoda !
3.) All pugs I have met face to face, including my own, are major pullers. Yoda pulls like he's a freakin tractor ! I've tried to train him to walk next to me, but that is still a walk in progress.
Also, you can search certain topics and questions in the search tab above here....helped me a load :)

The pulling's calmed down a little now he doesn't sprint or anything he just gets excited and when he gets too far in front he stops. We're considering crate training but my fiancée feels really bad doing it for some reason, her anxiety disorder makes her feel as if she's being really bad putting him in a crate. But she's trying to get her head around the idea. Thanks for the idea about searching the site using the bar I'll give it a go.
Thanks a lot again!
