so, i have an 18 week old black female that i am in the midst of potty training. i've got her a crate that she stays in when i'm gone and at night. she goes through the night without having to go and i find that amazing. during the day i try not to leave her in the crate for more than 3 hours at a time or 5 hours total in a day. when she is out of the crate she is either eating, playing, going outside to use the bathroom or play, or she is tethered to me leg inside. my question is, is it ok for her to constantly be tethered to my leg when we are not actively doing something? we get outside for a good half hour of play just about everyday, then we have little play times inside or she plays with the my dads dog while tethered to me so she doesn't go potty somewhere inside or chase the cat.

so basically, is ok for her to be tethered to me inside all the time and how do i start to give her more freedom if i feel she is catching on to potty training? thanks.
