Our little man who is about 2 years old is a very good boy, but has a tendency to be a bit mouthy. It never hurts, but he loves to chew on hands, and doesn't seem to care for toys at all. When I play with him I try to substitute a toy for my hand, but he never seems to care about the toy at all, and just heads right back for my hand again. Is there a way to get him more interested in the toys and less interested in human bodyparts?
My Yoda did this for a while, and I read right here on PV to yelp in "pain" whenever hhe got mouthy and bitey, and eventually he learned not to do it. You should try yelping, and then ignoring him for a while. Works a charm. `Good luck !

I have to agree with this plan...My Morgan has small sharp teeth *spexially compared to our other pug who is only a year and 1/2 older* but she loved to nibble and we'd just deal with it but when we made it seem like it hurt us she'd stop and put her head down...yelp like they do when they are hurt if you can, now Morgan will get mouthy when we play but wont ever actually bite, just pretend, and i can put my face up to hers and kiss her face and she stops completely and even a year later i still give a little piece of a jerky stick...like just the width of my finger to reward for that good playing and safe playing...i also still reward about the same size for outside potty - specially in this heat!
