    When my pug got excited and asked for help in pv they said that I should sprinkle water on her.So maybe you should be doing that.And if it does not stop try throwing something it likes for eg a bone so that he gets distracted.

    I was able to cure the excited jumping whenever I would come in the house by carrying tiny training treats. As soon as I would come in the door, I would ask for a Sit and then treat. Only took a few days and both pugs calmly sit as soon as I come in and wait for their treat.

    You could try something like this when letting your pup out of his crate.
