I have heard Kong is good...what size do you get for a pug puppy? She is 13-weeks not but would like to get something that will last a while. Or should I get two sizes? I am overseas so have to order online...can't actually look at them in the store. What about rawhide bones? Are those still something people use? A friend gave our pup a Nylabone (brand) Puppy Fish and within 5 minutes she had bitten off the entire tail of the fish...WHAT THE?!?!? If I were in the US I would complain!!!! I mean, she's only a puppy and she was able to destroy it within minutes. So dangerous...I found all these bits of crumbly plastic inside her crate where she'd been chewing the toy.
I'm no expert but, rawhides shouldn't be given to puppies or dogs as they get soft and stretchy and then can get stuck in dogs throat and choke them. I got my pug when she was 12 weeks old and bought her the kong that is about 3-1/2 inches long (dont know the size off hand). She loves it with peanut butter in it. I also got her the small size, white nylabone (original) and she chews, chews, chews forever on it. I also got her a tightly wound rope toy with knots on both ends. She hasnt destroyed that either (yet). Dentastix take her all of 1 minute to break up and consume, so i only allow her one of those when i am present to supervise.

I use the medium kong and the original nylabone with no problems. No rawhide too dangerous. Raw marrow bones are good although may be too rich for a puppy. Antlers are a good chew as well.

We got our pup one of the kong bones (not sure of the name) that you can stick treats in. We usually stick a carrot baton in each end and that keeps him occupied for a while. he also has a kong snugga wubba, it's a bit like a fleece octopus. he likes chewing it because it's nice and soft I think.
Ok, thanks!!
