    Default Steps back

If you are potty training (or did), do you ever feel that you are making steps forward only to take three steps back? Potty training has been so difficult. Our schedule has been consistent, but she certainly hasn't. Just when I think we are making progress, Penelope starts going in her crate every day and during playtime. I'm so glad we don't have carpet.

Yup ... since we moved, KC has taken to pooping in the bedroom and I have had my bed marked a time or two by minions unkonwn. Now that I have gone back to work, it is worse ... but it will get back to normal eventually.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should just relax and get used to the idea.

Yes, we had episodes of that happening and I have heard many others complain of the same thing.

I wonder whether, as they are growing and learning, they get growth spurts in different areas of their brains so they just get focused on one thing and forget another for a while.

Zoey was terrible to train. She even peed on hubbys side of the bed a few times. We have since replaced that mattress. And she pooped in the spare room many many times even after a year old. Very stubborn. Happy to report though she hasn't had an accident in the house for years.
Eddie we have only had for a year, he is six, and never taught properly. So he wears a belly band for marking, but still poops in the living room from time to time while we are away. I have never seen him pee or poo when we are home. Good luck and stay patient, she will get it one day when you least expect it.

Winston was very easy to housetrain, but even he had accidents all of a sudden until he was about 6 months old. Our strategy was to take him out really, really often, so that there was almost no risk that he'd make a mistake. We probably took him out once an hour for a long time.
Proud mama to Winston and Ozzie.
