I agree with what has been previously said. The pug is just being a pug. If given a choice, mine will stay glued to my lap the entire day and move whenever I move. I sleep with two pugs under the covers every night. It's in their nature and a part of what makes them such lovable pets.
As a married lady, I have to also agree about the need for compromise. Most pugs will accept sleeping in a crate. We have a large fabric crate where the dogs sleep when we want the bed to ourselves. We put their comfy bed in there and a favourite toy. If gradually taught to be comfortable in a crate, there's a good chance your pug will be happy spending the night in there. However, I don't see the point of crating during the day. It seems a bit unkind if she isn't causing any problems. I agree with others that it would be better to restrict her to the kitchen using a baby gate.
