    Smile My poor little Mack...

Mack has been with us for almost a week and we are so attached to him already. He is thirteen weeks old and went to the vet today because I have been seeing blood in his stool. Talk about mommy freaking out and becoming worried..... well...he is just fine and has some inflamation in his tummy because he won't eat his food, but eats Stella's (our other baby PUG). On the other hand, the vet said that his other testicle has not dropped yet? Has anyone else had this happen to their male? At his first vet visit he felt neither, and now we have only one. Comments?

    So gracious he is healthy!

I agree with what has been previously said. The pug is just being a pug. If given a choice, mine will stay glued to my lap the entire day and move whenever I move. I sleep with two pugs under the covers every night. It's in their nature and a part of what makes them such lovable pets.

As a married lady, I have to also agree about the need for compromise. Most pugs will accept sleeping in a crate. We have a large fabric crate where the dogs sleep when we want the bed to ourselves. We put their comfy bed in there and a favourite toy. If gradually taught to be comfortable in a crate, there's a good chance your pug will be happy spending the night in there. However, I don't see the point of crating during the day. It seems a bit unkind if she isn't causing any problems. I agree with others that it would be better to restrict her to the kitchen using a baby gate.

Winston also had only one testicle come down. It can cause the dog to be overly interested in females and also increases risk of testicular cancer. We chose to neuter when Winston was 1 yo.
