    thats actually sounds like a really good idea. i think that will be something i'll try. thanks! and i know she can't hold it well, just wish she realizes thats what the pad is there for >.<

    I never thought of that either... Might be something to look into!! Do you think the pee would make it really stinky and gross after a while??

    i would think the pee would kill the grass...

    No. Not if you keep it well watered. St Augustine is really urine tough.

    St. Augustine is particularly urine hardy. Any grass will do, but you will replace the flats more often on other types. My son had a pug/corgi mix and they lived in an apartment and that is what they did for her and it worked great. They installed a sliding glass door doggy door on the slider going out to the balcony. Those install without hurting the door or frame, so worked well for the rental. They lived there a year and a half and never had to replace any of the flats.
