My ultimate goal for this year is to compete at the specialty with Nixon in Rally and Seamus in novice obedience. Neither are ready to compete yet.....but I just entered Nixon in rally novice A for Jan. 14-15. Like Jason said....I'll never think he's ready. Anyway, I am sure it will be quite the comic relief for everyone else....especially as he does whatever he wants and ignores me....Wish me luck (and any advice)....![]()
I wish you the best of luck and look forward to pictures.
I can't wait to hear the stories of their first outings! Take lots of pictures! I'm sure you will be more nervous than they will be.![]()
Molly was ready for Novice Rally when I stopped going to classes. But I sure wasn't!![]()

Acquiring a dog is likely the only chance a human will ever have to pick a family member.
Pugs in anything to do with obedience are a riot!! They can be so very, very good...or......
But..the judges and the people know that! LOL!!
I remember Ricky walking out of the obedience ring at the Nationals!! The next day, he finished his last leg!
Good luck Jamie!![]()
Cindy mom to Rollo his royal pugyness!
Jamie:
I always say that Lola and I are the comic relief on the agility group cause I never know how it's going to go. We're either great or horrible--but I never know which in advance cause it's all up to Lola and whether she's "in the mood" or not. You'll be fine no matter how you do.
People love to watch Lola even when she goofs up--in fact, I think they like more when she does goof up. People don't expect skills from pugs or poms in these events--so it's nice to kind of showcase their abilities--even if, in our case, it's Lola's abilities to make me look like a chump!!
God Jamie, what an achievement to be able to enter!! As I mentioned in another thread, I would rather train a horse to do such things than a pug!

~Mommy loves you so much little-man!
We're taking Doug to puppy kindergarden and it's so embarassing. Douglas just refuses to do anything for us. He won't come to us when we call him, he doesn't care about treats, he acts totally above all the other puppies and will not play with them, and will only do things for the only snobby puppy mommy in class. All the other puppies run over to their parents and everybody ooo's and ah's and it's so cute. Then we call Doug and he just wants to stay with whatever human friend he made.We joke around and say that Doug is going to have to get his puppy GED.
Good luck...
Jessie
Good luck, Jamie. When and where will it be?
