Jesse... you made agility sound like a blast! I love that Kittie charged right for the high teeter. You must've been a proud mom. I forget, when did you say was a good age to start? I notice that Lemon's new trainer offers an intro, low skill class for dogs over 6 months, but that still seems early for a pug.

Yeah, me leaving Lemon with an evaluator? I can't see that happening. She doesn't scream, though that would be really funny. She does whine exactly like a baby, though. Something tells me whining like a baby doesn't a CGC make.

I wish I could tell you the best age to start. Most agility classes have puppy agility for dogs up to 6 months. That class has no jumping, and is more orientated to foundation work. Most will allow any dog over 6 months in intro classes. I'm paranoid about a dog that young jumping a lot. There's a lot of repetitions in class, and I can't help but be concerned about damage to growth plates on a young dog. To me, I think 18 months sounds perfect for real agility training. I'm very cautious though. I would think you could start younger as long as there wasn't too much jumping.
