Trudey is 8 months old and is only trained to go potty outside. Is it too late to train her to use the Pee Pads? In case I can't get home at lunch, I'd like to know that she can relieve herself ( and not on the carpet). I've tried the pads a few times and she just tears them up. Any suggestions?

They do sell a frame for the pads that keeps them securely in one place. And some pet stores sell a spray thay you can put on the pad that makes them want to go there. I got it at drsfostersmith.com - it doesnt smell very good though!

The frame is key! Even though Lemon's been using the wee pads since she came home, I still can't leave one laying outside the frame. She'll tear it to shreds. The one I like best is from Drs. Foster & Smith, and it's a tray that you lay the pad on, then drop down the top to hold it on.
The spray seems unnecessary, since the pads are already scented. But it may give Trudey a little extra encouragement.
