I think that I am correct in saying that we are all friends, or we wouldn't be here. But I have noticed that Clara doesn't have any friends listed, or Rebecca and the pugs--just seems vaguely 7th grade pom pom girl to me and liable to hurt someone's feelings.
Miss Ellen,
That's very sweet of you to notice, but I wouldn't really even know where or what to do. Computers and electronics aren't my friendsThough I was beginning to wonder if it was because Clara is a pug trapped in a bully body(or a pit as she has been referred to) She does have the pug slump down very well, can go from 0 to 90 in a nano second, snores, reverse sneezes, head tilt when spoken to,loves her puggle friend Yuma(Miss Yvette saw pictures of them playing) and at times has been referred to as Fart Blossom due to her wall paper peeling ability
She gets very embarrassed and turns red when that happens. Don't worry, one must be thick skinned to be owned and loved by a breed of dog as my Clarabelle aka Baby Zilla

I also have not figured out the purpose of the "friend" thing.
Take care,

It is not a popularity contest ... collecting a circle of Friends is more about quick and easy message access than bragging rights. If PVers already have a system that works for them then the Friends links are not going to be utilized.

I'll try to get some clarification to this.
I too have accepted Buddy requests but I'm not sure what they do apart from quickly identifying who's online by the cross next to their name. I suppose Buddy's are people you chat with or PM frequently.

The other ones that confuse me are invitations from Facebook. I usually wonder if it's someone from PV who'll be insulted if I ignore them. I did get one from someone who put "from PV" in the subject line. Anyway, I figure if I get any answers to posts or threads here I've got some friends.
Is having friends listed on a computer a way of inferring that you might not be able to make friends in real life?

This is where I come to see a friendly face....all villagers are my friends, I have no clue about the friend option and probably would not use it anyway. Hard to change a creature of habit.

I, too, am PV "friendless", but I don't feel slighted. I enjoy coming here. My experience is everyone is welcoming, friendly and caring. We all probably use the site a little differently, so using the "friend" feature may be more useful to some users than others. It is sweet, Ellen, that you are looking out for all of us. You are a one of the reasons I love coming on PV and I appreciate that you want everyone to feel a welcomed part of the PV community.
