We have a two year old pug that likes to eat poop, either hers or our terriers. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to brreak this habit??
We had a rescued poop eater here. We started feeding him a digestive enzyme and he is 90 % cured of eating poop. Sometimes it is a nutrition issue, but sometimes its a behavioral issue and very hard if at all to break. Try to keep the poop picked up as best as possible. For awhile I was out with the bucket and shovel everytime they went out for a poop. Best of luck to you.
Tinker used to be a poop eater but since I switched her food she rarely does it anymore! On occasion she can't resist a crisp, dried goose poop though!

It's a fairly common problem called coprophagia. I've read before that pineapple can help... you add some to their food and it changes the taste of the poo or something. I'm not sure how much you give though for it to work.
I just did a quick search of PV and here are some old thread about this behavior, maybe one of these will help?
he eats his poop?!?!
Why is Piper eating poop???

We had the same problem with our pug Sadie, didn't matter what kind of poop she was ready to go for it. We just started telling her to leave it and removing her away...consistency and firmness every time. She will still go to smell but does leave it. It takes time, but she loves the praise after listening so we've had some success. I don't know if we left her alone in a field of poop by herself what she might do, but we have to enjoy the small victories.
Pickle loves cat poo, she will happily chomp away at Henry's "leftovers". I have tried all manner of interventions to no avail, she just loves the taste :(

I have two fecal freaks. My only solution is to pick it up so they can't get to it....

I can't even imagine what my hubby would do if any of the dogs were poop eaters! Thank God, we'll never have to put it to the test. He would definitely freak out though! LOL
