I know this sounds stupid but could someone please explain the term foster failure to me? I have been reading about Betsy and Jake (very touching story..I needed Kleenex) and don't understand why they were foster failures if they had a loving home in the end with Hilary and her gang. I think I am missing something. Please pardon my naivity.

Foster failures are pugs who've found wonderful foster homes, and who've pugged the fosterparents so thoroughly that they're adopted by them! Betsy has Hilary's husband wrapped around her paw, and Hilary even calls Jake her boyfriend in her sig.

Yes, foster parents are supposed to look after the pugs only until they can adopt them out. Some of us fail at the adopting out part.
Of course, Jake and Betsy are to blame. Who could help falling in love with them? Betsy is so darn cute, it's almost unbearable. Here she is on Tuesday evening checking to make sure I got everything out of the recycling cupboard for garbage day on Wednesday:

Now seeing this makes me so happy!!! I love seeing dogs make it that long. You know they had a good life! My first pug Gypsy went right before her 7th bday. Far too early. Emma and Brody are still young and I hope they make it to where sweet Betsy is at! So cute. Happy Birthday sweet girl!
