I agree with what Bethy said in that a trial run is definitely in order. Take them home and see how well the three of them do before making your final decision.

My son has a 11 year old blind pug...that used to live here all the time before the other dogs came along and my son moved out..but when Otis comes to visit and he has issues as he ages too..he just mingles with the pack and they are all fine with him...
so you might just get lucky and all will be ok...
all 3 of my pugs snuggle together and when otis comes he snuggles with them too...
guess it is personal decision

a trial run is a good plan too....by 5 hopefully they are more settled down as well
