Mr. Boots Bit His Daddy

Bryce was letting Boots, Badger, Erie and Raven out this morning, when they come in Bryce always picks up Boots and carries him so he isn't riled by one of the others getting too close to him. Plus Boots can't jump up on the bed anymore so he gets carried back to bed. Usually when Boots is picked up he's growly, Bryce will say to him, It's okay Baby Daddy has you. and Boots is fine turns and gives him a lick on the face. Well today he turned and bit Bryce on the chin. For only having a few front teeth they broke the skin and Bryce was bleeding. Poor Bryce is heartbroken that this is another sign of Boots's age and he says he startled him.... Poor Boots is crushed and heartbroken because he bit his beloved Daddy. He is now acting like he's in trouble....which he isn't.

And so it does, Boots didn't have a clue what was up, and Bryce owes them both a yummy cheese burger and a small scoop of ice cream. Mr. Boots has arrived at the grey edge of eternity, but I am betting the tough little man still has some time left. Hugs to all.

It sucks getting old, for dogs and for people. poor Mr. Boots and poor Bryce!
