These posts are very sweet and touching. Our Peanut turned 10 two weeks ago. It tears me up to think of where the time has gone and when I see signs of her aging despite still being the wonderfully naughty pug lady I've always known, however, I remind myself that Peanut was meant to have a life with or without us, we just happened to have gotten lucky enough to find her and give her the best possible life and most possible love she could ever get. That's nothing to be sad about. :)
I too adore senior puggies. I have lost 3 pugs in the last 8 months ages 12 1/2, 13 1/2 and 10 ish. My 13 1/2yr old I lost about a month ago I had since he was 8 weeks old. The other 2 were fosters/rescues I ended up keeping but had the one for 7yrs and the other for 8yrs. My two pug kids I have left are 12 1/2 and 14 1/2. I'm about maxed out of anymore loss for quite some time.
