When is the next little tour going on? Would it be next summer? I really fancy going and so does 2 of my friends and there pugs. (im thinking more about the sun and alcohol lol) Would you be able to rent a villa at each location etc?

On the tour I did you wouldn't be able to rent a Villa because pug day is sunday, so by tuesday you're moving onto the next venue. Sometimes it takes two or three days to get to the location in the next country. You would be staying in different hotels/motels each night that you're traveling, arriving Friday evening and staying in the same hotel until monday morning.

I had two weeks separating two shows so stayed in Paris the whole time.

If you wanted to rent a Villa the minimum amount of time would be one week, usually Saturday to Saturday, it wouldn't work for me on a show Tour.

If you just wanted sun and alcohol, you should rent a Villa with friends and take the dogs along with you.

Keep in mind when you're traveling in summer you cannot leave the dogs in the crate for more than it would take for you to have a toilet stop because the wire crates get boiling hot so someone needs to stay in the car and keep the a/c running. You also cannot exercise the dogs because it's too hot for them to be out and their pads would burn anyway on the ground.
Some dogs don't like 'change'..... a different hotel every night, so be sure to assess their temperaments. Also can they travel all day in crates in the car with just a potty break without whining?
You're also lugging crates, ring side tables, grooming bags, baggage etc in and out of hotels everyday, to make sure if your car gets stolen everything is not lost.

Lots to think about and plan but for me it was worth it!
