Yes you can Show spayed bitches and neutered males in the UK as long as you have written permission from the Kennel Club. Verify this before neutering unless is doesn't matter and if they denied you permission, you would choose to neuter rather than show.

Prior to exhibition, permission must be sought from the General Committee of the Kennel Club to exhibit any dog which has undergone an operation to alter its natural conformation. Dogs that have been spayed or castrated are permitted to be exhibited at Kennel Club licensed events. However, the owner of the dog must inform the Kennel Club, prior to exhibition, of the date of the operation, the name of the veterinary surgeon and the practice where the operation was carried out.
It's not permitted to show altered dogs in the U.S.

hay,
As far as im aware i dont think you can show in champ shows, only limit, General or Open.
I don't think neutered dogs ever get anywhere even if you do get permission to show them.

how come you want to get your wee man 'cut' anyway? Just curious :-)
I know in later life it may avoid having health problems etc. My friend got her dog done really young and it lost his cheeky spark completely which is ashame.
Completely different story if you had a bitch tho.
In the US, you cannot show a dog in confirmation once it's neutered...
However, there's obedience, agility, and rally...all working competition....and being neutered in those is a plus!
I always thought it was better to get dogs neutered? My friends lab got testicular cancer and died from it, I know there's only a small chance of that happening but the health benefits just make me think it would be better for him in the long run. Plus I don't want him to start marking in the house & I thought that dogs are more loving to their owners if they are neutered, as they are not thinking about girl doggies. I've never done any real research on it as i thought it was just the norm thing to do unless you wanted to show your dog or breed with him?
Hope I don't sound too ignorant on the subject, but if you have any more info I'd be really glad to hear it :) x

I've just done some searching through past threads, there are quite a few on here that I found helpful, this one in particular: To Neuter or not to neuter?
As I don't intend to breed Scooby, and was only really more curious than anything about whether neutered dogs can be shown or not, I think it would be more beneficial to him if I get him neutered. It would have been quite nice to enter some shows just for fun sake, but If it is a case of neuter him or not neuter him just to enter one or two shows for fun, I think neutering would be more responsible of me.
Thank you for the information though :)

I glanced at this title, and the first thing I thought of was a pregnant woman. I thought, ''Showing is automatic. Why do you think you would need help?"
