Being a Ring Steward.... any advice?

I guess the ring steward should probably also be prepared to pick up any poop that is deposited if the owners fail to do so (although it really should not happen that a dog potties in the ring I can assure you it has been known)

Yes, I was told that I would be provided with a "clean up kit" - just in case!

inside or outside match----among other things you will hand out arm bands matching right number to right handler, documenting who won, lining up next class outside ring and so forth---comfy shoes, sunglasses, pens that work, patience of a saint, tact, and a dress that won't blow over your head, or comfy jeans that won't be overly hot

Thank you! I'm going to make sure I pack my favorite type of pen just in case the pens I'm provided with don't work. They said we should "dress nice, but comfortable" so I'm still trying to decide what to wear. THANK GOODNESS the awful 95F heat we had yesterday has left and today is much more pleasant. Fingers crossed for good weekend weather!

The match/show is mostly indoors, but it's at a county fairground, in big buildings with HUGE doors that open on both ends... so I won't get rained on, but it's not air conditioned or anything like that.
