So, I found out today that the breeding took place and that the dam looks pregnant (will know for sure later this week when ultrasound is most likely to be performed). Her due date is May 12, and I don't know how I'm going to make it that long. I just hope she has a black male, as that is what my heart is set on.....I would like to name him Jubilee's Man in Black (Cash). If it is a female we get, I'll have to rethink the name......Please keep your fingers crossed.
I have photos of the parents and they are gorgeous.....I also received photos of grandparents and again am so excited that I don't know how I'm going to survive the upcoming months......
In terms of equipment needed, any suggestions from those of you who already show your pugs.......
Thanks......
Jamie, that is sooo exciting! I hope so much that you get your black male. How did you do yesterday?
Love your black male's name!!!!! Good luck!

I know your breeder!!!!
I'm excited for you...and for her to have found such a nice home for one of her babies!
Seamus qualified again yesterday and placed third. I am so proud of him. We are registered for a trial the first weekend in May.....I am hoping we finish our rally novice title (and I am hoping Nixon gets his second leg)......Thanks for asking!!!
How do you know Myra?? She is such a wonderful person and so patient with all my pestering questions........And, her pugs are SO beautiful. I really cannot wait........![]()

I met her at the Nationals a few years ago....and we email quite a bit.
Congrats...on (hopefully) getting your new puppy! You picked a lovely breeder to work with. So does that mean you will have a puppy with you Nationals? As far as the show equipment is concerned....just wait until the puppy comes and trust me you will starting seeing stuff that you just HAVE TO HAVE!! For now...when your puppy comes, just find a nice show lead...Resco or Martingale, and that will be it. I bet you by the end of 2007, when your boy has been in the ring a good 6-8 months you will have a house overflowing with "dog junk"...I am embarrassed when "normal" people come to my house, I sometimes wonder if they think I am running some bizarre operation!
Again CONGRATS!!!

OH yes this is SOOO true, but luckily you don't need a lot for a puppy. Eventually you will want a good shampoo/conditioner that doesn't dry their skin out, a good brush, or two, shears to trim with, a grooming table (mostly use to practice on at home more than you need it ringside). And other things I am forgetting, mostly just enjoy the puppy stage and worry about getting the puppy comfortable on the table, etc.Originally Posted by Luvbean25

Myra is a great breeder and will tell you all you need to know and to have for your little one. Blacks need different shampoos then fawns...etc!
