    Default Willie's 1st show after surgery

    Willie started the weekend out with a bang today by going Best of Breed over the special from BBE!!

    He really hasn't been 100% cleared yet since he only got the 3rd eyelid flap off on Tuesday but BOY! what a difference in his performance compared to his last show!!!! This is his first show on grass and he was a little confused - wanted to sniff everything - but he gave a stellar performance and the judge LOVED him!!

    We bailed on group cuz we didn't want to overdo it right off and he has another day of showing tomorrow.. He goes back for his 2 wk check on Tuesday but I think we finally got it healed....

    Wish us luck tomorrow (and the next 2 weekends)...

    Well, no points today, unfortunately, but we did get reserve. I'm not sure what this judge was looking for... For some reason, the ground right in front of the table made Willie really anxious and he got all squirrelly when we had to stop there.. Didn't help that it rained really hard last night and the ground was slippery where the grass was thin.

    It was kind of ironic - the judge made a comment to the person with winners dog that you can't expect too much from a puppy.. That "puppy" is only 3 wks younger than Willie!

    Guess I'll have to spend some time working him on grass since the weekend after next is another outdoor show... Luckily, the place where they're holding that one is much better maintained :)
