Sonja Neu DH and I went to an open house today, and it turns out the selling agent is Sonja Neu (she's remarried now, but Neu is the name her pugs are under). She said she won Westminster a couple times, once with a black female and another time with a fawn male (I think). She also started a pug rescue, was involved in the PDCA, and wrote a book called A New Owner's Guide to Pugs.
I was wondering if any of the breeders in the Village know her, or know of her.

Sonja Neu A few times at a dog show (years ago) when my Min. Schnauzers were being shown, I ran into her. She had some great Pugs and I wish I could remember the name of the one who was so famous. She was then from the Quad City area and married to Vincent J. Neu, a car dealer. I was always interested in Pugs and had hoped some day to get one from her. I didn't know she was in the Rockford area now.
Joanne and my rescue Pug, Buffy, Willow, my young Pug and Jasmine, my tiny rescue Boston Terrier. Also at the Bridge waiting for friends are my wonderful rescue Phoebe Pug and Josie, the Boston Terrier and now as of May 9, 2005, my most precious dog of all, sweet Lulu Pug. I miss all three of you but now you are together again, young, healthy, happy. Sleep well girls. Annie at the Bridge, 1999 to 2007 (I miss you all).

I have definitely heard of her. Seen that Kennel name on quite a few pedigrees.
And it was one of the first books I bought when I was researching the pug breed.
It is a very very small Pug World out there.

Yep, that's him, i knew him very well, he passed away last year but there are several in his line :)
