Default DO you hear from your pugs BREEDER?

I can say..all the time for my pugs
the lady that bred my pugs is a super woman. we talk all the time, share the stories of her babies.
she sends them a xmas card as they do each year too.
she was great support for me and the pugs and especially for Max...in the beginning as well with his issues.
I will continue to talk to Kelsie forever likely.

with the bullies. another story. never hear from Bella's breeder ever. with Gus being deaf the breeder wants nothing to do with me anymore. she still wanted me to show Gus since he was bought as a showdog..but I refused with the deafness. I got him neutered thanked her for Gus..and that was the end of contact.
doubt anyone would have known had he been shown in the ring though. deafness is not something you can see.
Bella as well came from a show Dad. she is spayed though..and kept as a pet

so it has worked out good for me
talk puggie
talk bully..lol

she is great lady in all ways..not just with her dogs.

Pat, does she do health testing - e.g. CERF and genetic testing on the parents?

The lady I got Phoebe from sometimes emails me to ask how she is doing. So maybe once a month or so I will send her updated pics of Phoebe, thats about it.

sixteen paws..believe so...
she is right into her dogs and very very picky as to the homes they go to and such. she did a home check here..3 times. all 3 pugs came from her and she personally dropped off the pugs at my house to check it out... very very picky
so likely..
never really asked her........but the pugs came with a good health guarantee as well..so I would say yes.

Another great thread! Very interesting...thanks for sharing!

We keep in touch with our pug's breeder also. They are also very thorough when finding homes for their puppies/pugs. They have also been there for us for health care, finding an excellent vet that knows pugs, watching our pugs if we go on trips, training, showing, grooming tips and we have become close friends. What ever they do not know, they will ask around and find out through their network of breeder friends like them.

In addition, we got to know the pug owners of our 3's littermates and most of the other litters...now we are one big family and we share pug stories and photos and try to get together when we can. We even pug sit for each other and have playdays.

We did not expect all of this when we adopted our first pug from the breeder but what we got was WAAAY more than just a pug...it's been a great experience.

my pug breeder is a great totally awesome lady
we share some of the funniest stories on the phone together
when Zeena really sick..she called every single day to see how she was.
I went to her house to meet her pugs too and of course her bullies as well.

do Max and Zeus ever look like their Dad..

Never hear from MuShu's "breeder". But we now know she wasn't reputable. We had just lost our Mugsy and my husband was especially in a hurry to replace him, but with a puppy, and MuShu was the first one we saw. The conditions were terrible, so felt she was a rescue of sorts. Can't see our life without her but if we'd known what we know now about breeders and health tests, etc. would have gone that route and expected to remain in contact with them.

I periodically send pictures and updates to Bella's breeder and I've sent some pics to Toby's breeder too. It's been awhile so you just reminded me I need to send some more pics of them to their breeders.

Bella's breeder told me she likes getting pics and updates about pups she has placed and she has also sent me a pic of Bella's brother, who is a black pug. She kept him to show, but then she had to have surgery and so I'm not sure if she ever did show him.

Wonka's breeder is only a couple miles from us, she use to come to our playgroup but we haven't seen her in a while.

Being from rescue, we know nothing about Nilla's breeder.
