| Hello, We just joined Pug Village but I have visited the sight before. We brought our baby Brutus home in October when he was 5 weeks old and weighed 2 pounds. When he was around 12 weeks old he got very sick and we didn't think he would make it. Well the little guy pulled through after 5 days in a special hospital for dogs. And is doing better every day. He has some kidney and lung problems due to the infection that went through his little body. He has been growing and is very very active. My husband and I are empty nesters so Brutus has given us alot of joy and laughter. Robin Brutus's Mom |

| He had been sick not eating and vomiting. Our vet thought maybe he had eaten something that caused a blockage. He did exploritory surgery and found an abscess on Brutus's liver. He thought antibiotics would clear it up. It took Brutus a long time to wake up after sugery and when he did wake up he wasn't doing very good. That was when we took him to the hospital in Tucson. By that time his chances of making it were 20 to 30%. The infection from the abscess went through his body. They gave him blood transfusions and antibiotics which slowly started to work. At one point we did not have much hope. But Brutus stood up, waged his tail and looked at us at that point we thought he is telling us that he is trying his best to get better. And he did now he is very active and we are closely monitoring his lungs and kidneys which are slowly improving. The doctors don't know what caused the abscess. |

| Oh my goodness, to have been through so much trauma in his little life! I'm so happy he's made slow progress. May it continue. He's very lucky to have you and your husband as parents.
